Heat waves aren’t just for us.
In the United States, the so-called ‘heat dome’ phenomenon, which has been causing heat waves for a long time, is expanding nationwide.

A wild bear from the mountains swims in a swimming pool in a house in Burbank, Southern California, USA.
The police were dispatched to a bear who came down to a residential area to avoid the near 35 degree heat and occupied a swimming pool.
Cooling down after a brisk swim, the bear climbed a tree behind the house to dry itself and returned to the mountain.
The famous cactus of Arizona, the southwestern United States, is dying.
Even cacti, which are accustomed to heat and dryness, could not withstand the heat wave, which exceeded the maximum temperature of 43 degrees for nearly a month.

Over the weekend, 170 million people were affected by heat warnings or advisories, with wind chills exceeding 38 degrees across much of the United States.
The so-called ‘heat dome’ phenomenon, which covered the southwestern part of the United States with hot air, has expanded to almost all areas.
The city of Boston declared a heat emergency, and large cities including Chicago, New York and Philadelphia opened air conditioning centers in public libraries and community facilities.

President Biden, who issued a federal government-wide heat wave warning measure last week, pointed out that climate change is now an existential threat.

In particular, climate experts are concerned that low-income people who have difficulty cooling will be more severely affected by the heat wave.
Experts predict that heatwaves around the world will continue into next month.
