Heat the future Houdemont hospital with just hot water from the basement?

What if the Gaume subsoil also sheltered, at a shallow depth, enough to supply heat to public buildings on the surface? We could cross our fingers to hope that the Houdemont hospital is supplied by this hot water. It wouldn’t be a first, as Ms Petitclerc, a geologist from the Royal Institute of Natural Sciences, explains: “The heat needs of a hospital can indeed be covered by a borehole of 3 to 400 meters. Three hospitals in Wallonia will be supplied with heat by geothermal energy; this is the case for the new St-Pierre hospital in Ottignies planned for 2028. The Walloon Region has released money to do this.”
