The districts of Bragança, Évora, Guarda, Vila Real, Beja, Castelo Branco and Portalegre, are under yellow warning until 18:00 on Monday, due to the persistence of high values of maximum temperature.
The island of Madeira (North Coast, South Coast and mountainous regions) is also under yellow warning today, until 21:00, due to the hot weather and the persistence of high maximum temperature values.
The yellow warning is issued by the IPMA whenever there is a risk situation for certain activities depending on the weather situation.
On the continent, the sky will be generally clear today, with more cloudiness on the central coast at the beginning and end of the day. The wind can sometimes blow strong from the north on the west coast and in the highlands.
For the Azores, the IPMA predicts periods of very cloudy skies with good open weather and for Madeira periods of very cloudy skies, presenting in general little cloudy in the southern slopes of the island of Madeira and in the highlands.
As for temperatures, Lisbon will reach 29 degrees Celsius, Ponta Delgada at 24 and Funchal at 27.
