Heat, high humidity and a slight chance of rain for Dallas and Fort Worth

Dallas – With a band of rains far to the North of Texas, the weather will be warm and mainly dry during the next few days in our region, but not this Wednesday, where the humidity will generate high thermal sensations.

A group of thunderstorms will move across Oklahoma this day which may affect parts of the Metroplex around noon. They could bring brief gusts of wind and cooler weather. Apart from that possibility around noon, the afternoon hours will be sunny and quite hot.

At the beginning of June, the average high temperature in the region tends to hover around 90 degrees F. Instead, this year all cities in the Metroplex are feeling temperatures close to 100 degrees, between Wednesday and Friday.

With humidity, it will feel like 100 to 103 degrees Fahrenheit. A moderate breeze from the south will offer a slight relief from the heat.

Friday will be the first day of the year with real temperatures above three digits in Dallas and Fort Worth. The warm weather will last into next week.
