(ANSA) – GENOA, AUGUST 11 – With a temperature of 39.4 degrees recorded at 5 pm, Castelnuovo Magra (La Spezia) was the hottest place in Liguria today, when the Ministry of Health issued a red dot for the first time since the beginning of the summer. This was reported by the Ligurian Regional Agency for Environmental Protection (Arpal), reporting that yesterday, from an orange dot, Castelnuovo Magra had also reached 40.1 degrees at 4:30 pm. For two consecutive days, the ancient village located on Mount Bastione has been the hottest place in Liguria.
In the La Spezia area, in Padivarma and Sarzana, the temperature reached 38.9 degrees, in La Spezia 37.9, in Riccò del Golfo di Spezia 37.5, in Beverino 37.3, in Sesta Godano 36.2. In the Genoa area, in Rapallo 37 degrees, in Orero 37.5, in Casarza Ligure 36.3, in Pontedecimo 36, in Bolzaneto 35.7, at the Foce functional center in the center of Genoa 35.2 degrees. In the Savona area, at the Savona Sanctuary 35.8 degrees. In the Imperia area, 38 degrees in Rocchetta Nervina, 36.4 in Airole and 35.7 in Dolcedo.
Due to the heat wave, there are currently no peaks in emergency rooms in Liguria, where out of 13 facilities only 5 are “very crowded”, Bordighera (Imperia), Imperia, Genova Voltri, Lavagna (Genoa) and La Spezia. (ANSA).
