Visitors to the 30th Autumn Salon in the Neubrandenburg Art Collection dug deep into their pockets and spent 20,500 euros on paintings, graphics and sculpture. Around 600 guests were interested in the works of the 22 artists from the region.

The Autumn Salon is a fixed date in the calendar of art lovers. Even on the 30th anniversary of the sales fair, interest in Neubrandenburg was unbroken. Visitors know: Rarely do you get such a good overview of the current art scene as you do here. They came, looked, bought. The art market is organized on a voluntary basis by the Friends of the Art Collection.

“Above all, the encounter with the artists, the prospect of interesting conversations and the opportunity to see and buy art attracted visitors this time too,” said club chairman Christoph von Kaufmann. “The artists appreciate the opportunity to show their work to the public.”

The Circle of Friends also regularly purchases works for the art collection at the Autumn Salon. There were a total of 14 works worth 4,000 euros this year: including drawings, collages, graphics and paintings by Saskia Wenzel, Karlheinz Wenzel, Irene Sohler, Bernhard Schrock, Bianka Marschall, Claus Lindner, Boris Duhm, Andreas Homberg and Susanne Feldt. In addition, the Kunsthaus Koldenhof, which is currently in dissolution, donated a large-format work by the Neubrandenburg artist Karlheinz Wenzel to the art collection. These new additions will be on display in one of the next exhibitions. The Kunstfreunde website provides impressions of the Autumn Salon.
