These unpleasant and often painful feelings are usually nothing to worry about. However, in some cases, these complaints can become cancer symptoms ovary.
Ovarian cancer is one of the most common types of cancer in women. Often, the condition is diagnosed too late and the chances of survival are slim.
It happens because of the symptoms ovarian cancer not so clear. Symptoms range from stomach pain, loss of appetite and bloating.
A new study finds survivors of undiagnosed ovarian cancer appear to be buying increasing amounts of digestive medications to relieve their symptoms. Study author Dr. James Flanagan from Imperial College London, England explains the symptoms of cancer which are quite common.
Using spending data, the study found a marked increase in purchases of pain and digestive medications among women with ovarian cancer up to eight months before diagnosis. That is compared with women without ovarian cancer.
For some women, it can be the first sign of something more serious. “We hope this research can lead to symptoms being detected earlier and increasing patient choices for treatment,” said Dr. James, quoted from The SunMonday (30/1/2023).
