Announcing that 30-40 wrestlers fell under the collapse in the earthquake that occurred in Kahramanmaraş, national wrestler Taha Akgül announced that 2 wrestlers were rescued in his last post. Sharing the moment of the rescue of the wrestlers on his social media account, Akgül said, “Thank God, our friends from the national team, our apprentices Ahmet and Utku were pulled out of the wreckage.” Making a statement about the athletes who were under the wreckage, Turkish Wrestling Federation announced that the number of rescued wrestlers is 8.
After the earthquake that caused great losses, national wrestler Taha Akgül called for help from social media. Akgül said, “The building where 30-40 of our wrestlers are staying in the wrestling club in Kahramanmaraş has also been destroyed. Our athletes are in ruins. We are waiting for urgent help. 8 Wrestlers Rescued
Turkish Wrestling Federation made a statement about the athletes who were under the rubble. In the statement made by the federation, “Rescue efforts continue for our wrestlers who were under the rubble, among the athletes of Kahramanmaraş Municipality after the Kahramanmaraş-centered earthquake. The number of wrestlers rescued so far has reached 8.” it was said.
