‘Heart’ shooting in Dordrecht: officers injured, suspects arrested Inland

Shots were fired in several places. The area around Toulonselaan, not far from the station in Dordrecht, has been cordoned off and officers are investigating. An air ambulance also arrived at the scene. The press is kept at a distance by agents.

RTV Rijnmond reports that video images would show that at least eleven shots were fired, other eyewitnesses speak of more shots. The regional broadcaster also reports that, according to eyewitnesses, enforcers came to a car break-in, which quickly got out of hand.

The three injured have been taken to hospital. They were approachable when they were taken to hospital, a police spokeswoman said. “The investigation must show what happened, why was shot and by whom.”

Dozens of local residents come to take a look on the street. But mayor Wouter Kolff calls on residents to stay away. He speaks on social media of ‘a violent incident in our city’. “The police are working to get all the facts in a row.”
