Heart patients are now referred to the Annadale clinic

From October 15, patients with heart complaints can be referred to the Annadal clinic through their doctor. The clinic joins the MUMC+ in the field of cardiology.

The aim of this is to shorten the waiting time to see a cardiologist. The patient must be seen within a maximum of three working days. Since until now it was only possible to visit the cardiologist in the hospital, the waiting time for a referral could be up to two weeks.

Forty patients
The cardiologist who receives patients at the Annadal clinic is employed by the MUMC+. The Annadale clinic can treat forty patients with heart problems every week, possibly doubling this in the long term.
