VIVA – Facts about cholesterol which is known as a dangerous disease when in fact it is a chemical compound needed by the body and produced by the liver. Cholesterol plays a role in the formation of sex hormones, vitamin D and for brain and nerve function.

But when cholesterol levels are excessive, it will cause blockage of fat in the blood vessels and then trigger chronic diseases such as hypertension and coronary heart disease.

Cholesterol is a disease that cannot be cured but can be controlled to keep it at normal levels. There are several things we can do to maintain cholesterol levels in the blood, namely by applying 3P, diet, activity patterns and the need to take herbal supplements.

“Then for the second P is the activity pattern, we need to change the activity pattern from lying down to being active. For starters, try light physical activities first and can be done at home, which is important to do consistently and measurably,” he added.
