1. Consume Protein

This was stated by nutritionist James Powers. “The body uses protein to build new cells,” he said.

The body needs 0.8 grams of protein per kilogram of body weight, says Dr. Powers, which means about 50 grams of protein per day for a 140 pound (63 kilogram) person. Ideally, this should be spread out throughout the day.

Protein that can be enjoyed every day is chicken breast. According to the USDA, one serving of chicken breast (99 grams) contains 28 grams of protein. Other types of protein that can be consumed are fish, nuts, eggs, milk, and others.
