Healthtech startups: a continuously growing ecosystem in Córdoba

The healthtech startup ecosystem, made up of entrepreneurs committed to health, continues to develop revolutionary innovations that are transforming access to health. Startups, industry leaders, and key players seek to improve the effectiveness of healthcare using cutting-edge technology, and through these meetings, foster collaboration and the exchange of ideas to drive growth.

The 4th meeting of healthtech startups was held at the Business Incubator of the Secretariat of Innovation and Technological Linkage of the National University of Córdoba (UNC).

Wiener Lab and Gammet, the leaders of this meeting

During the event, Wiener Lab, an Argentine laboratory with more than six decades of experience in clinical diagnosis, shared its experience. Founded in 1960, Wiener Lab has been a pillar in biochemistry, hematology, immunology and microbiology, not only in Latin America but throughout the world. Alejandro Colaneriinnovation manager, and Mariano Depiantescientific and technical advisor, discussed their approach to open innovation, highlighting how this strategy enables access to a wide diversity of ideas, accelerates the commercialization of new developments and reduces R&D costs.

In addition, the biotechnology startup Gameet presented its technology aimed at improving assisted reproduction techniques, achieving the best quality of embryos and increasing success rates in in vitro fertilization treatments, in the voices of Alejandro Guidobaldi and Maximiliano Tourmente.

Finally, each representative also shared their innovations and the challenges they face in a constantly evolving sector: Camila and Lucio Simonella (NovoSens); Agustín and Jorge Ruiz Natero (Key Data); Leandro Reartes (Selectivity); Santiago Luque (B.Health). The space was accompanied by the Public Innovation and Govtech Laboratory of the Smart City and Digital Transformation Secretariat of the Municipality of Córdoba, representing the Director of Knowledge Economy, Marcela Nicolaides.

Córdoba is reaffirming its position as an epicentre of innovation in the health sector, where the synergy between entrepreneurs, academia and the business sector is driving solutions that improve access to health and quality of life. The next meeting promises to continue exploring the transformative potential of technology to solve challenges in the health sector.
