Rome, 22 Oct. (Adnkronos) – “The show staged by the permanent company of the Teatro Patologico, made up of actors with mental disabilities, allowed us to understand even more that the approach to mental illnesses is not only medical but we must also be able to overcome the stigma that exists towards some pathologies. ‘Pinocchio: a fairy tale in reverse’ puts us face to face with an upside down reality. After all, not everything has to be told in the same way. Opening your mind also means trying to create a different way of healthcare , and that we political decision-makers, but also all health system operators, must have a different approach towards some brain pathologies”. Annarita Patriarca (FI), president of the Parliamentary Intergroup for Neurosciences and Alzheimer’s, told Adnkronos Salute.
“Today we also talk more and more about psychophysical well-being – explains Patriarca – because the Covid years have left enormous wounds also in this respect. We have a lot to recover, but there is a lot of good will. This Parliament has repeatedly given evidence of maturity on health issues, managing to unanimously vote on important measures”, he concludes.
