CASSANO JONIO – «Regarding the serious health emergency that has hit the hamlet of Lauropoli, I am pleased to announce that concrete interventions have been initiated to address the situation. Doctor Antonella Arvia, Director of the Trebisacce Health District, promptly took action, demonstrating great sensitivity towards the difficulties of our community. This morning, Doctor Arvia informed me that Doctor Nigro, currently working in the Municipality of Cassano Jonio, will increase his availability starting next week, guaranteeing: Monday from 9.30 to 12.00 and Thursday from 9.30 to 13.00.
Furthermore, from 1 December, Doctor Nigro will add an additional day of presence, bringing the total to three days per week, and will extend the opening hours to the public, to offer greater continuity of care.”

«Also at my request, the Director requested the opening of a medical practice directly in the hamlet of Lauropoli, considering that the majority of patients come from this area. A commitment was also made to follow the retirement phase of the next general practitioner and his replacement, to guarantee adequate and stable health coverage.
I would like to thank Doctor Arvia for the speed with which she responded to this emergency and for her commitment to finding immediate solutions, and, through her, the General Director Graziano. This shows that with dialogue and collaboration between institutions it is possible to address even the most urgent critical issues.”

I will continue to work to ensure that daily assistance is restored, as the general practitioners of our community guaranteed in the past, and I will continue to ensure that what has been said is actually implemented and everything works perfectly. However, this intervention represents an important signal and a first step towards the solution. Today I can say I am satisfied for having done my duty, and I remain, as always, available to the citizens, because for me doing politics means serving my city with dedication and love, without ever turning my gaze to the needs of our people.”
