It is up to health officials, people with chronic conditions, and people over the age of 60 to be vaccinated. However, according to data from the health authority, only 20% were inoculated; 9% and almost 3%, respectively.
The campaign for people over 60 has begun, of which there are more than 54,000 in Magallanes. They must receive the antidote every year, since the vaccine against the respiratory disease has entered the National Immunization Program (PNI).
“We invite you to come to our vaccination points because we are still in a pandemic. We still have indicators of contagion and positivity. In addition to preparing for a safe summer along with maintaining other preventive measures ”, highlighted the Sanfuentes seremi.

In Punta Arenas, the Zona Franca and the Espacio Urbano Mall are licensed as vaccination centers. Its opening hours are respectively from 9:00 to 15:00 and from 10:00 to 15:30.
Likewise, the vaccinations of the Hospital de las Fuerzas Armadas, the Clínica Magallanes and the former Mega Salud are authorized for inoculation, subject to programming.
The nurse in charge of the Seremi de Salud PNI, Janet Vrsalovic, points out that “some Cesfam have fixed calls by telephone or email, others work in the morning or in the afternoon, it will depend on the sector in which the user is served. It is important to remember that vaccination is free”.
