Spread over 7 departments, 19 new nursing home projects have just been validated in Occitania. This will bring the number of multiprofessional local health sites to 248. Their development has greatly accelerated: the region had less than 10 in 2010.
Within multi-professional health centers (MSPU), medical (doctors, dentists, midwives) and paramedical (nurses, physiotherapists, etc.) skills are combined with those of pharmacists and biologists. In a common health project, the teams coordinate for the care of patients and the implementation of preventive actions.
In each territory, the departmental delegations of the ARS (Occitanie Regional Health Agency), the CPAM (Health Insurance), the Occitanie Roussillon Federation of Health Houses (FORMS), the Regional Unions of Health Professionals (URPS) provide their support in setting up these new projects financed by the ARS, the State, the Occitanie PyrénéesMéditerranée region and local communities.
