The Principality will open next week the walk-in vaccination for the 70,000 people over 12 years old, unvaccinated, that the Health Service (Sespa) has not been able to locate for his immunization. In this way, all vaccination sites will administer Thursday, September 2 prophylaxis at people with a health card who have not received any doses. In addition, Sespa will have two mobile units, VACUmobiles, at strategic points of Oviedo and Gijón. All people residing in Asturias who want to be vaccinated must go to the vaccination points with their identity card in order to receive the dose.
At the same time, the Ministry of Health has begun the Bell Vacúnate Ho/Vacúnate Ne to encourage citizens to receive prophylaxis. In this way, Health intensifies the recruitment of the population pending to receive the vaccine in the final stretch of this campaign. This initiative joins the opening of the self-appointment system started on Monday for those over 12 years old who initially refused immunization or with whom it has not been possible to establish telephone contact.
Thus, people born between 2009 and 1981 –Both years included- can select the date and time to receive the prophylaxis in the following link: https://ciges.asturias.es/, after selecting the option Extraordinary vaccination call (under 40 years old). The rest of the population over 40 years of age who want to be vaccinated and have not yet been able to, must select the option Extraordinary vaccination call (40 years or more).
This tool will generate appointments as the agendas are filled. For this reason, Salud advises interested persons to insist if they cannot register at first, since gaps will gradually be created to receive prophylaxis. At the same time, the Sespa staff is calling directly 10,000 people whose identity cards are not available to facilitate access to vaccination.
On the other hand, Health has advanced the vaccination for people who have been positive cases, who will receive prophylaxis from the month of contracting the disease to strengthen their immunity against the delta variant. The 20,000 affected are already being contacted by the automatic citation system to receive the vaccine.
