Hossam Abdel Ghaffar indicated that the total operations that were performed amounted to one million and 576 thousand and 700, and they start from July 2013 until now, and 84 thousand and 64 citizens benefited from orthopedic surgery, and 67 thousand citizens performed open heart operations, and 500 thousand citizens They performed cardiac catheterizations.
Hossam Abdel Ghaffar continued, that cochlear implants were performed for 6,000 children, heart transplants for 1,000 citizens, and 6,000 cerebral catheters, through the initiative to eliminate waiting lists without the citizen incurring any financial costs, pointing out that these numbers have a direct indication, In addition to a million and a half citizens who benefited from surgical interventions without incurring any expense, the waiting list rate decreased from a year and a half and two years to 3 or 4 weeks.
Hossam Abdel Ghaffar confirmed that President Sisi, in less than two months, approved two initiatives to develop health care centers, increase the number of working hours and the presence of specialized clinics, the mental health initiative and the provision of psychological support, and before that the liver and lung tumors initiative, explaining that the president’s interests and support for public health did not stop. The goal is to improve the life of the Egyptian citizen in light of the approach adopted by the president, which is a decent life for citizens.
