Mrs. Mariella Enoc, President of the Infant Jesus Pediatric Hospital in Rome, visited the Dominique Ouattara Mother-Child Hospital on Tuesday, February 14, 2023, in Bingerville.
Mrs Mariella Enoc was accompanied during this visit by Dr Ombretta Pascotti, General Director of the Saint Joseph Moscati Catholic Hospital in Yamoussoukro, Professor Andrea Onetti Muda, Scientific Director and many other members of the medical team of the Catholic Hospital. This visit, which comes 24 hours after that of the wife of the Head of State to the Saint Joseph Moscati Catholic Hospital in Yamoussoukro, was an opportunity for the guests of the First Lady, Mrs. Dominique Ouattara to discover the technical platform , services and operation of the MCH of Bingerville. Note also the presence of Mr. Pierre N’Gou Dimba, Minister of Health, Public Hygiene and Universal Health Coverage.
These are the departments of pediatrics and specialties, neonatology, imaging, pediatric oncology, obstetrics and the premium rooms of the gynecology department that the guests of the wife of the Head of State had great pleasure to discover. This guided tour allowed visitors to appreciate the level of the Hospital and the performance of its technical platform and its services. It is therefore literally under the spell of the MCH of Bingerville that Mrs. Mariella Enoc, President of the Infant Jesus Pediatric Hospital of the Vatican ended the visit. A visit that allows him to place a lot of hope in this hospital. Also, she hoped that the MCH of Bingerville would become the Hospital of the Child Jesus of Africa for the well-being of the populations in general and the poorest in particular. “You have a very high level hospital,” she congratulated the First Lady. Before adding: “I know a lot of hospitals in Africa. But I have never seen a hospital similar to the Mother-Child Hospital in Bingerville. The Bingerville Mother-Child Hospital is a great hope. I hope it will become the Bambino Gesù Hospital (Editor’s note, the Vatican Hospital) of Africa. And I hope that the Mother-Child Hospital of Bingerville is an example of a hospital that is open to all social strata and particularly to the poorest. It is a very nice hospital with health professionals and efficient operation. I hope he can go beyond simple care to do research in the medical field. I thank the First Lady for giving me the opportunity to visit the Mother-Child Hospital of Bingerville”, declared Mrs. Mariella Enoc, after the visit of the MCH of Bingerville.
It should be noted that following the First Lady’s visit, Mrs. Dominique Ouattara held a meeting with Mrs. Mariella Enoc, President of the Child Jesus Pediatric Hospital and the medical team of the Saint Joseph Moscati Catholic Hospital in Yamoussoukro. This meeting was an opportunity to present the operation of the MCH with the guests of the wife of the Head of State. Mrs. Mariella Enoc, after the exchanges, wished that the HME of Bingerville could also open up to scientific and medical research. Also, she indicated that the hospitals of the Child Jesus and Moscati are willing to accompany the Mother-Child Hospital of Bingerville in the perspective of a collaboration. “We remain available to see with you the challenges of the Hospital, and to accompany you in your future challenges”, indicated Mrs. Mariella Enoc.
It should also be noted that Mrs. Mariella Enoc and the members of her delegation offered presents to the First Lady and to the members of the management of the MCH of Bingerville. The latter also offered a gift to Mrs. Marielle Enoc, President of the Infant Jesus Pediatric Hospital in Rome.
