On Thursday January 4, 2024, Ouagadougou hosted the inauguration of the Princess Sarah Clinic, work of the EBOMAF Group. The Minister in charge of Health, Dr. Robert Lucien Kargougou and several other personalities enhanced the splendor of the ceremony with their effective presence.
For the Minister of Health and Public Hygiene, Dr. Robert Lucien Kargougou, “he who planted a tree has lived usefully to society, they say. What about the person who carries out health training for the benefit of population health? » According to him, in the health system, the opening of a health facility is an intense and important moment for his department in that it perfectly responds to the health aspirations of the populations. And one of the main missions of the ministry is to bring health care closer to the populations through quality infrastructure, human resources in number and quality, and efficient equipment. It is with this in mind that the official inauguration of the Princess Sarah clinic will increase the provision of care and health services to the populations of the Central region and Burkina Faso. A work of the EBOMAF group, the Princess Sarah Clinic provides quality care in various medical fields. Located in Ouagadougou at Sector 54 (Ouaga 2000), this multidisciplinary medical clinic is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. It is a health establishment equipped with the latest generation of cutting-edge equipment. It has, among other things, a cardiology department, a digital medical imaging department, a medical analysis laboratory, a dental department and a multidisciplinary operating theater.

Minister Kargougou explained: “we have private healthcare establishments whose number and quality of services are booming in a context of public-private partnership for the march towards universal health coverage”. These private health care establishments, according to him, are distributed on the health pyramid into types which are private hospitals, polyclinics, clinics, medical centers and medical centers with private surgical antenna, medical offices, health centers and private social advancement centers, nursing offices and childbirth clinics.
“This structure will make it possible to somewhat resolve the thorny issue of medical evacuations in Burkina Faso. During the COVID-19 period, we had sick people in Burkina that we could not evacuate because all the countries had closed their borders. We asked the EBOMAF foundation to plan the opening of a clinic to support the populations,” said Mahamadou Bonkoungou, President and CEO (CEO) of the EBOMAF Group. For the General Director of the Princess Sarah Clinic, Dr Julie Hoknai/Bruno, this private healthcare establishment is entirely the result of a significant investment by Mahamadou Bonkoungou, Chairman and CEO of the EBOMAF Group, whose firm desire is to make its contribution to the strengthening and modernization of the national health system. She recalls that the opening of the Princess Sarah Clinic is therefore part of the dynamic of implementation of the ambitious National Health Policy. According to him, it further reflects the patriotism of a businessman who continues to support the social progress of Burkina Faso.
