HEALTH: The CPTS Sud Côte-d’Or is launched

This fourth territorial professional health community in Côte-d’Or, supported in particular by the ARS, aims to better coordinate health professionals in relation to the needs of the territory. The CPTS Sud Côte-d’Or concerns 86,000 inhabitants and 143 municipalities in the south of Côte-d’Or and in the north of Saône-et-Loire.

Press release from the Regional Health Agency of Bourgogne-Franche-Comté:

A fourth territorial professional health community in Côte-d’Or

A fourth project for a territorial professional health community (CPTS) was born in Côte-d’Or: the CPTS Sud Côte-d’Or. The partnership contract commits health professionals from the South Côte-d’Or territory, with the Regional Health Agency of Bourgogne-Franche-Comté and the Health Insurance of Côte-d’Or (CPAM).

The CPTS (territorial professional health communities) bring together professionals from the same territory involved in a health project on their own initiative.

Two objectives: to adapt their organization to the needs of the population and to improve the working conditions of these health professionals, who aspire in particular to better coordinate, to share actions and to strengthen the links between city care and hospital.

Facilitate access to care

One of the missions of the CPTS Sud Côte-d’Or, officially launched on May 10, aims to facilitate access to a general practitioner, 6% of the population of the basin not currently benefiting from one. The coordinator of the new community can, for example, direct patients to doctors who accept additional care. It will lead information and communication actions between professionals on a subject which is one of the major concerns of the public.

The CPTS is also committed to improving access to unscheduled care. The new organization aims initially to identify doctors who volunteer to participate in the healthcare access service (SAS). Led by the SAMU 21 (CHU Dijon) and health professionals (in conjunction with the URPS liberal doctors), the SAS covers all of the departments of Côte-d’Or and Nièvre. From the 15th, it allows medical regulation shared between the SAMU 21 and liberal health professionals from the 2 departments 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

Overweight children, adapted physical activity…

The CPTS must also make the patient care pathway more fluid by playing the card of coordination of the various actors.
In the south of the Côte-d’Or, professionals will work in particular to promote the detection and treatment of overweight children.
In conjunction with the Beaune hospital center, they will also carry out actions aimed at improved recovery after surgery (RAC) to allow eligible patients an early return home.

Regarding its prevention missions, the CPTS is moving, for example, towards physical activity adapted to patients suffering from chronic pathologies.

The community will also mobilize in favor of the attractiveness of its territory for young health professionals: reception of trainees (nurses, physiotherapists, etc.)

These projects, supported and validated by the ARS Bourgogne-Franche-Comté, are accompanied by the Health Insurance which allocates them specific long-term funding.
