Stuttgart (dpa / lsw) – The number of new corona infections per 100,000 inhabitants per week in Baden-Württemberg continues to rise. The so-called 7-day incidence, according to the State Health Office in Stuttgart on Thursday (as of 4 p.m.), was 56.3 across the country – after 54.4 on the previous day.

The number of confirmed corona cases rose by 1,276 to 321,166, those who died from or with the virus by 30 to 8,214. Since the end of December, the State Health Office has received 6,026 cases with reference to the existence of worrying variants from the city and rural districts of Baden-Württemberg.

So far, 590 016 people in Baden-Württemberg have been vaccinated against the virus (as of 11.55 p.m. on March 3), 292 236 people have received a second injection and thus the greatest possible protection, including 57 246 in nursing homes.
