Health spokesperson: Presidential directive to open a bank account has helped develop the health system

He added that Egypt has seen many initiatives in 2022, the completion of the C virus and German measles and the initiative to eliminate waiting lists. In the same year, the health insurance system has started in several governorates and 2022 it has seen many healthcare developments.

He explained that the President has endorsed the Mental Health Initiative, led by Dr Khaled Abdel Ghaffar, Minister of Health and Population, for a healthy mental life.

Interestingly, Dr Khaled Abdel Ghaffar, Minister of Health, confirmed that support for the mental health system is a top priority for the ministry in the coming period, implementing the directives of the political leadership in this regard.

The minister said in his speech during the plenary session of the House of Representatives today Wednesday that work is underway to include mental health hospitals within the comprehensive health insurance system in Port Said, continuing: “The health is physical health, mental health, and community health, and they are the mainstay of health care systems anywhere in the world.” The world and the mental health sector are at the top of our priorities for the coming period and we are working to implement the President of the Republic’s mandate on a presidential initiative on mental health in Egypt.
