They explained that the rabies vaccine is applied if the attacker is a stray dog ​​or an unknown owner and there is no information about the animal’s health status or its up-to-date vaccination record.

In that sense, they clarified that if a dog was the attacker and it is located, the attack must be reported to the Center for Rabies and Other Zoonoses Control, since it is necessary to put it under observation for ten days, if the animal does not get sick. or dies during that time, the person does not require rabies vaccination.
