Mexico registered 1,191 new cases of COVID, for a total of 5,606,827 infections accumulated since the start of the pandemic.
According to technical statement of the federal Ministry of Health, the trend of infections has decreased 41%. There are an estimated 20,750 active cases and 4,897,155 patients have recovered.
In the last five weeks, most of the cases occurred in people between 30 and 39 years old, followed by the group of 18 to 29 years and 40 to 49.
Baja California, Mexico City, Aguascalientes, Tlaxcala and Colima are the entities with the highest number of active cases per 100 thousand inhabitants.

This Sunday, Health reported 49 more deaths, with a total of 321,103 people killed by the disease. In addition, there are 14 thousand 281 deaths classified as suspicious.
Hospital occupancy at the national level stands at 9% of general beds for patients with COVID, and in the case of beds with a ventilator it is 7%.
This Saturday the authorities administered 261 thousand 237 vaccines. In total, 186 million 402 thousand 474 doses have been supplied.
According to Health, vaccination coverage in older people is 90%, while for young people between 14 and 17 years old it is 53%.
