Solthis is a global health NGO, created 20 years ago, which works for prevention and access to quality care for all, by sustainably strengthening health systems and services. We work on the health issues of women, mothers and children, and on major pandemics, HIV/AIDS, tuberculosis. Solthis is a development NGO, present in West Africa with 6 country offices and which, in partnership with local stakeholders, deploys projects including operational research, capacity building and advocacy components.

In order to complete the operational team based at headquarters, we are looking for a:
Health Promotion Technical Referent
Contract duration : 12-month fixed-term contract (renewable)
Base d’affectation : Abidjan or Dakar or Paris, with travel (30 to 40%) in West and Central Africa
Availability : as soon as possible
CHALLENGES
Within the technical department, based at the headquarters in Paris, the Health Promotion Technical Referent will work in collaboration with the 3 technical referents and under the supervision of the Health Promotion Unit Manager.
The Health Promotion Technical Representative will have the mission of guaranteeing the quality of interventions developed and implemented on projects in their areas of expertise, namely: health promotion, strengthening the power to act , and to contribute to the capitalization and promotion of these interventions.

SPECIFIC MISSIONS
In order to carry out his mission, the Health Promotion Technical Referent will have the following responsibilities:
Supports project teams in the implementation of activities related to health promotion
- Training and support for teams Solthis in the integration of a health promotion and gender integration approach
- Design and deployment of educational tools and materialstraining and support systems for actors involved in projects, in particular community health workers and peer educators
- Support for the design and deployment of monitoring and evaluation tools promoting health promotion
Participation in project development
- Writes, validates or coordinates health promotion components in calls for projects or expressions of interest and calls for applications/consultancy
Participation in the production and valorization of knowledge (linked to monitoring-evaluation)
- Organizes and monitors the research and capitalization aspects on projects in partnership with Solthis teams and national partners.
- Participates in the production and valorization of knowledge: writing articles, policy notes, participation in events and conferences in their areas of expertise)
Develop the network of experts and technical partners
- Identifies partnershipsmaintains and develops a network of actors/partners in its field of expertise
Participation in the Association’s strategic reflections and the definition of strategic orientations linked to areas of expertise
- Helps ensure monitoring scientific and technical as well as the development of strategic directions of the association and methodological on areas related to health promotion
- Contributes to communication actions and advocacy of the association in its field.
Experiences / Training
Initial training:
Diploma in a field relevant to the position: social sciences, health promotion, anthropology, etc.
Experience :
- YOU are an expert in the areas of health promotion and gender and you have already made technical tasks as part of your duties: methodological support outside project management
- Experience in training and support through active teaching methods, tutoring, group facilitation, in particular.
- Experience of at least 5 ans in the setting implementation and evaluation of health promotion projects in resource-limited settings, experience in West Africa is required
- Experience of at least 2 ans in terms of implementing sensitive and transformative projects from the point of view of genre
Qualities & Skills:
- You master the health promotion approach and the participatory methodologies associated with this approach
- You know how to support associative and community stakeholders from a methodological, organizational and structural point of view
- You are recognized for your teaching and listening skills and know how to build quality relationships allowing effective partnership and networking work.
- You have the ability to adapt and are autonomous to act quickly with teams
- You are equally fluent in French and English (speak, read and write) and your writing and synthesis skills are solid
Others :
You master the office pack, remote meeting facilitation tools (Teams, Zoom)
Salary
Salary and benefits will be determined based on the status of the contract: National or International, and the number of years of experience in a similar position and the SOLTHIS remuneration scales.
