Health professionals demand that their opinion be taken into account more | Radio Club Tenerife

The deconfinement plan presented last Friday by the Government of the Canary Islands and that the Ministry of Health stopped it pending a new analysis of the Interterritorial Council, has been analyzed by most of the health professionals in the Islands and that; some of them have qualified through social networks of “real nonsense”.

The College of Physicians of Santa Cruz de Tenerife, in the voice of its vice president, Pedro Javier Rodríguez, considers that the Canary Islands have several of the criteria that Europe requires to start the de-escalation. The Islands currently have positive epidemiological criteria and sufficient hospital resources, however “we are weaker” regarding the existence of protective material.

Rodríguez believes that, although the final decisions are political, the rulers “They must take more into account the opinion of doctors who are on the front line: emergency physicians, primary care physicians and hospital physicians.”
