Initiated by the government in 2018, the Territorial Professional Health Community (CPTS) allows liberal health professionals in a territory to organize themselves and become a force for proposal, renewal and cohesion of the health system. Managed and piloted by independent health professionals, the CPTS also brings together health professionals from health establishments and medico-social actors.
The CPTS of Terres de Chalosse Adour was created in April 2023, with several missions recognized and financed, after contractualization, with the ARS and the CPAM with the aim of facilitating access to scheduled or unscheduled care, improving the organization of multi-professional pathways, develop territorial prevention actions and improve the response to health crises.
It is as part of its prevention mission that the CPTS of Terres de Chalosse initiated a project for Pink October with an information and prevention stand on breast cancer screening in certain municipalities.
Screenings and information
Health professionals will be present to answer questions relating to breast cancer screening but also to understand the reasons for not screening to help adapt future actions in the years to come.
The objective is to allow anyone who wishes to have access to a special moment to talk about breast cancer screening and prevention. Each person will receive information on self-examination, the screening process (age, radiology center, etc.), risk factors and recommended monitoring.
A schedule of meetings has been drawn up, the actors of the CPTS of Chalosse will be on October 28 from 3 to 6 p.m. at the Gamarde health center, Tuesday 29 from 9 to 12 a.m. at the pharmacy in Souprosse, Wednesday 30 from 8 30 p.m. to 12 p.m. at the market in Montfort, Thursday 31 from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the pharmacy in Mugron and from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. at the pharmacy in Hinx.
