Health professionals called to demonstrate in Chartres on January 11

Lack of staff, beds and resources. In these times of crisis, the USD CGT 28 is asking professionals in the medico-social sector to mobilize, Tuesday January 11, at 10 a.m., Place Chatelet in Chartres.

“The great forgotten” demand a salary increase

The extension of the increase of 183 euros to medico-social staff will be at the center of the demands of the event according to Stéphane Gaudemer, secretary general of the health union at CGT 28.

He explains: “The medico-social staff are the big forgotten ones of the Ségur de la Santé. We want them to get the 183 euros, just like the caregivers. They’ve been waiting for this upgrading for a year”.

Other “more general” demands will also be discussed at the rally on January 11.

The question of the organization and working time of health personnel will also be at the center of the discussions, as well as the lack of personnel and resources allocated to hospitals. “In Chartres, there are at least thirty beds closed for lack of personnel”, reports Stéphane Gaudemer.

Convenient. The CGT will meet with the medico-social staff on Tuesday 11 January, on Place Chatelet, in Chartres, from 10 a.m. A strike notice was also given for that day.
