Without waiting for the result of the tractions between the various left-wing forces, Patrice Berthomier decided to embark on the campaign for the legislative elections, in the second constituency of Montluçon, under the label of the Communist Party.

Agricultural unionism
“I position myself as the potential candidate of the left,” says this 57-year-old man, father of a 20-year-old son, who heads a small business specializing in the sale of horticultural and market gardening products. For a dozen years, Patrick Berthomier was a trade union leader at the departmental center for young farmers in Allier.

At a meeting in Yzeure (Allier), the PCF on the attack for the legislative elections: “We must transform anger into hope”
If he is elected deputy, his first priority will be health. “We need to multiply the health centers on the model of what was done in Ainay-le-Château”, affirms the candidate who denounces “the glaring absence of doctors on our territory”. “In my personal case, I was only able to get an appointment in September”!
“Lack of teachers”
Purchasing power will be another strong focus of the campaign. Patrice Berthomier wants a minimum wage of €1,500 and “an increase in all salaries”. The candidate also intends to support trade and craft businesses. “It is very complicated to settle down but also to pass on your business”.
Retirement at age 60 “for all”, the defense of local public services “to have a living rurality”, the lack of teachers and overcrowded classes, the “complicated situation of EHPADs” and “the reindustrialization of the Montluçon basin are also on his program.
Substitute. Aged 56, Corinne Charpille is the mother of two children and lives in Deneuille-les-Mines. She is a nurse at the public hospital in Montluçon. She was a municipal councilor in Montluçon from 1995 to 2001 under Pierre Goldberg and Jean-Claude Micouraud.
