Health. Patient Safety Week at CH de Montceau

“Postponed to 2022 due to the health context, Patient Safety Week 2021 finally took place last week, from April 4 to 8, 2022. This is an annual awareness-raising operation aimed at challenging all of the public on the issues of healthcare safety. It also seeks to promote dialogue between users and patients with health professionals.
At the Montceau hospital center, this took the form of stands held on April 5 and 8, 2022, from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m.:

– The user stand was manned by user representatives and a medical mediator who were members of the Users’ Commission. This ensures that the rights of users are respected and facilitates their procedures. Their goal was to inform users of their rights, whether in relation to their medical records or their consent to care.

– The identity monitoring stand was manned by the establishment’s identity monitoring officer. It presented all the measures implemented to make the identification of users more reliable. The objective is to secure its health data at each stage of its care. This year, a particular focus was on the National Health Identity.

– The infectious risk prevention stand was manned by two professionals from the SPRI service (infectious risk prevention service). There was a quiz on hand hygiene and a fun workshop: “The invisible world of infections”. After a short presentation video, the participant had to look for traces of germs under the UV lamp following defective washing of the care equipment. The aim was to make staff and users aware of good hygiene practices.

The identity vigilance stand and the user stand welcomed 20 and 45 visitors respectively. The infectious risk prevention stand welcomed 30 people and 45 professionals also took part in the quiz on hand hygiene.

In addition, a challenge over several weeks is offered for healthcare professionals on the theme “Together, let’s act for patient safety”.

Patient Safety Week 2022 is scheduled for November. »
