The president of the Confederation of French medical unions, Franck Devulder, details the reasons for the anger of the practitioners, called to close their practice on Tuesday.
Bad times for the government. Two days before the demonstration against the pension reform on Thursday, the situation is degenerating on the health front. This Tuesday, all the unions of liberal practitioners and interns, and even, this is a first, the National Council of the Order of Physicians, are calling on practitioners to close their offices and take to the streets to shout their “anger” against the “dismemberment” of their profession. While they had been careful not to support the strike call launched in January for a revaluation of the basic consultation to 50 euros, the two main unions representing city practitioners, the Confederation of French Medical Unions (CSMF) and the Federation of General Practitioners, are this time on the front line. Objective: to obtain the withdrawal of the Rist bill, voted on at first reading by the Assembly on January 19, and which the Senate begins to examine, this Tuesday, February 14.
For the unions, there is no question of letting this text pass, which opens up direct access for patients to other professions.
