Offenbach (dpa / lhe) – Hesse’s Minister of Social Affairs Kai Klose (Greens) has expressed concern about the increasing number of corona infections in Offenbach and throughout the state. Klose said on Friday in Offenbach that the new infections are to a large extent due to returning travelers. He appealed to people to adhere to hygiene and distance rules, such as wearing everyday masks. “There is no room for negligence and selfishness,” he said.

In Offenbach, a key figure for the development of the pandemic was recently exceeded – there were more than 50 new infections per 100,000 inhabitants in the last seven days. Therefore there will now be further restrictions. According to the city, around 650 people are currently in quarantine in Offenbach.
