Health network: 211 additional nurses to reinforce

More than 200 additional nurses have responded to the call of the Government of Quebec, launched last week, to lend a hand in the health network.

In total, in one month, more than 747 people (+ 211) were hired by establishments in the health and social services network. Of these, 93 were retirees, and 654 new resources came from the independent workforce.

In addition, there are 1,976 people who worked part-time and have switched to full-time.

On Twitter, the Minister of Health, Christian Dubé, also indicated that discussions were underway with nearly 3,262 potential candidates.

Recall that on September 23, the government announced that it needed 4,300 nurses in the health network to inflate the workforce damaged by the pandemic.
