The second consecutive Saturday that Health has vaccinated children between 6 months and 4 years against the flu has concluded with the balance of 61 children immunized. Of them, 48 have received the dose intranasally and the remaining 13, intramuscularly.
The Cibir assembly hall has once again been the setting where parents have taken their children without having to make an appointment. Between the two days, nursing professionals have cared for 206 children with the aim of continuing to increase the immunization rate against this virus for the population in these age groups.
The Ministry of Health and Social Policies has once again encouraged families “to vaccinate their children against the flu, not only as a measure to protect themselves, but also the elderly and vulnerable people around them.” This disease affects between 20 and 40 percent of the child population depending on the scope of the epidemic and 5% of cases end up in hospitalization due to their severity.
