Health Minister Veena George Updates on Nipah Cases: No New Cases in the Last Four Days

Kozhikode: Health Minister Veena George said that no new Nipah cases have been reported in the last four days. The minister also informed that the condition of the nine-year-old boy under treatment is improving. The minister also stated in the press conference that the other three people who are under treatment do not have any significant symptoms.

Out of 323 samples tested so far, 317 have been negative. Six are positive. 994 people are currently in Isolane. Those on the contact list of the first case have completed 21 days of quarantine and have been exempted from isolation. 11 people are in isolation at the medical college. They have no direct contact with positive individuals. All of them are negative.

It has been possible to stop the spread of the disease. But the health minister also informed that it is not the stage to completely relax.
