Health: medical promotion agencies have more opening authorizations – AGP

Libreville, February 2, 2024 (AGP) – This is one of the essential points appearing in the summary of the 2023 pharmaceutical map, presented by the Director General of the Agency for Medicines and Other Health Products this Friday February 2, 2024 in Libreville, in the presence of the Minister of Health Professor Adrien Moungougou.

« Medical promotion agencies are the type of establishments that have more compliant opening and operating authorizations with 98.5%. Non-compliance with opening authorizations for establishments is most encountered in Woleu-Ntem with 21.28% of authorizations being non-compliant. Followed by Ngounié (17.02%), Middle Ogooué (14.89%) and Ogooué-ivindo (12.77%) “, noted the Director General of the Agency for Medicines and Other Health Products, Dr Ange Mibindzou Mouelet in his presentation of the summary of the 2023 pharmaceutical map.

Furthermore, the provinces of Haut-Ogooué, Ogooué-lolo and Ogooué-Maritime have the lowest percentage of establishments with non-compliant opening authorizations.

« It is therefore judicious, if not important, for these pharmaceutical players to comply with the standards so that from now on all pharmaceutical establishments operate with peace of mind, but also with the aim of offering the population quality care services in a spirit of equity and social justice“, recommends the Director General of the Medicines Agency.

The pharmaceutical map is a document produced in order to identify all pharmaceutical establishments, specify their location, evaluate their level of technical compliance, define the sites for setting up new pharmacies and identify human resources in the pharmaceutical sector, Did we learn.
