“They are for those who are paying a lot for their medical coverage, which I believe they are all, so (due to) these new benefits, they are going to see a decrease in their monthly payment,” said Andrea Acevedo, spokeswoman for the state health market, Covered California.
The savings are for those who are enrolled or enrolled in one of the health markets such as Covered California.
“The plan says that you can only pay 8.5% of your income. That would be the cost of your coverage, no matter if your income is high, medium or low,” Acevedo said.
