Health insurance for Umrah pilgrims: assisted by 2764 institutions

The Ministry of Hajj and Umrah has announced that Umrah pilgrims will receive health services through more than 2,700 institutions. Pilgrims and visitors from foreign countries will be provided with services through the health insurance scheme.

The insurance scheme was implemented as part of the guarantee of health care for pilgrims and visitors. Authorities have set up more than 2,700 facilities to provide health services to pilgrims and visitors arriving in the country during the Umrah season.

151 hospitals in the public and private sectors have been organized for pilgrims and visitors to Mecca and Medina. In addition, 773 health centers and medical complexes, 1,840 medical laboratories and pharmacies have been set up in other parts of the country. The Hajj Umrah Ministry recently launched a health insurance program aimed at guaranteeing health care and improving the quality of life of pilgrims and visitors.
