The Apas 82 association is organizing an “open door” day for its day care center on Saturday 11 February.
The Association Promotion Autonomie et Santé 82, chaired by Patrick Malphettes, has been located at 25, rue Lavoisier in Caussade, since April 1, 2021. She is the manager of a day care center specializing in supporting elderly people over 60 years old and presenting a neuro-evolving pathology (Alzheimer’s and related diseases). This medico-social service, approved to receive twelve people a day, offers people received individualized support, one or more days a week. This time spent outside the home contributes to breaking the isolation and allowing loved ones to benefit from respite. The price per day is fixed annually and the beneficiaries of the Apa can benefit from financial assistance.
Visit of the premises
The “open day” day reception on Saturday February 11, 10 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. is open to all (it is intended for the general public, professionals in the medico-social or health sector and users already users of its services), with stands, photos, exchanges with professionals. At 11 a.m., an official intervention is planned and will present the association, its departmental services and its projects for the current year. Throughout this “open house” day, it will be possible to visit the new premises of Apas 82, designed to accommodate people with loss of autonomy and with neuro-evolutionary disorders; discover, thanks to the setting up of stands and workshops, the therapeutic activities offered within the service; find out about all the actions of the caregiver support and respite platform implemented for caregivers; interact with service professionals present on the Caussade site; discover the rich community life of Apas 82.
In Caussade, premises inaugurated in 2021
Apas 82 professionals, administrators and volunteers will be on hand to welcome visitors and answer all their questions. In a former ironwork completely renovated in 2021, the Caussade site consists of a large day reception room of more than 120 m2 and two rooms dedicated to manual workshops and sensory and cognitive stimulation. The proximity to the city center of Caussade allows residents many outings: parks, toy library, media library, etc. The large terrace equipped with a bioclimatic pergola as well as a large landscaped garden allow residents to fully enjoy the outdoors in complete safety and in all seasons.
