Health: how to celebrate Easter and have an egg hunt without Kinder products?

by Jessica Meurens

As you know, Kinder products have been contaminated with salmonella. They have therefore been recalled and you absolutely must not eat them! The least we can say is that the timing is rather bad. Indeed, the Schoko-Bons, Kinder Surprise and other chocolates of the brand are particularly appreciated at Easter time.

On Monday, the Afsca launched an alert to no longer consume five of the Kinder products. This Friday, it is even all the products of Arlon which have been recalled. In addition, the site has had its production license withdrawn.

In addition to the danger that this represents for the population, we can say that it is bad timing. Indeed, with Easter approaching, many families had no doubt already stocked up on Kinder delicacies to prepare for the traditional egg hunt.

To have a good Easter, even without these famous chocolate delights, there are many other brands that offer chocolate eggs and other sweets perfect for this holiday. There is something for all tastes and for all budgets.

supermarket brands

Carrefour, Delhaize, Colruyt, Aldi… The majority of supermarkets offer chocolate eggs of their own brand at low prices. At Colruyt, for example, you can even find chocolate eggs in bulk. So you can choose your tastes and the quantity. Practice !

Milka

In the supermarket you can also get Milka chocolate eggs. They come in the form of sachets, with eggs of different sizes, and it is possible to buy them by taste or even in a mix.

Côte d’Or

Still in the supermarket, you will also find Côte d’Or Easter eggs. For example, in the form of a mix bag: milk and dark praline.

GRID

Indeed, the Liège chocolate factory offers a range of 13 varieties of chocolate eggs to celebrate Easter: solid dark, dark praline, black pistachios, dark raspberries, dark vanilla, crunchy milk, praline milk, coconut milk, solid white, praline white, pistachio white, Manon white and crunchy white.

Eggs are available in several formats: in traditional sachets, in strips for all snacks, in decorated metal eggs, etc.

While eggs are available in supermarkets, hand-molded chocolate bunnies or even huge eggs topped with small filled eggs are available in Galler stores.

Chez Blanche

Jean Galler is back again this year with six flavors of chocolate eggs… And a little new one! We find the tastes: black praline, milk praline, white praline, white pistachio, vanilla, crispy and nougatine.

What makes them different? We can emphasize the fact that the colors are obtained with only vegetable extracts. There is only natural! Chez Blanche eggs are also the least sweet on the market and are not individually wrapped in foil.

Dolfin

The Nvellois chocolate factory offers several flavors of chocolate eggs, presented in small cubic cardboard boxes. The varieties offered are: dark chocolate, dark chocolate with praline, white chocolate, milk chocolate and milk chocolate with praline and puffed rice.

Neuhaus

Would you like something different to celebrate Easter? You can opt for the elegant chocolate eggs from Neuhaus. Their pastel colors will put you in the spring mood.

Godiva

At Godiva, it is possible to buy colored eggs or even a box with a stuffed rabbit. A delicious and cute gift for children.
