Mentioned for a long time, the Local Health Contract (CLS) of the Grand Narbonne (hears) was signed on Wednesday October 9, 2024. It was ratified by the community, by the Regional Health Agency (ARS) and by the departmental Primary Health Insurance Fund (CPAM).
One contract, four defined axes
After several months of work carried out jointly by the different organizations, this document, composed of 41 distinct actions, was able to be drafted. It is available in 4 priority axes.
The first of these aims to improve access to care for the Narbonne. It involves in particular a better reception of medical interns in the region as well as a rapid strengthening of access to care for residents by catchment area.
Also, the opening, to Narbonnefrom an antenna of the prestigious Faculty of Medicine of Montpellier is recorded. The precise timetable remains to be defined.
A minibus very soon on the roads
Also, the agreement signed this Wednesday, October 9 plans to increase prevention actions aimed at the general public in the coming years. Numerous awareness-raising actions around strong themes such as sport, youth health, first aid and nutrition are expected to multiply throughout the country.
To disseminate this information to a greater number of residents of the Narbonnais basin, a health information and prevention minibus will circulate from the beginning of 2025 and will reach out to the most remote populations.
Mental health
The different signatory parties to this new intermunicipal contract have decided to make the sensitive subject of mental health one of the priority areas of action for the coming years.
And Intercommunal mental health council is created. It must work towards better day-to-day care of the most delicate situations.
Practical guides will soon be published with the aim of improving information to the population on this vast area of public health. Reflex sheets, serving as a basis for concise information, will soon be sent to local elected officials and healthcare professionals concerned.
