Health – Dresden – Saxony reports further reduced corona incidence – Health

Dresden (dpa) – The corona incidence has continued to decline in Saxony. The Robert Koch Institute (RKI) expressly points out, however, that the picture of the epidemiological situation over the holidays could be incomplete. There are likely to be fewer tests and delayed reports.

According to the RKI, the seven-day incidence on Saturday was 456.2 (previous day: 510.6). Nationwide, the value fell to 242.9 (previous day: 265.8). It indicates how many new infections per 100,000 inhabitants were registered within a week.

The highest seven-day incidence in Saxony is currently in the districts of Meißen (656.5), Saxon Switzerland-Eastern Ore Mountains (629.7) and Vogtland (640.0). The Bautzen district, on the other hand, only reported an incidence of 178.2 (previous day: 302.3).

According to the RKI, 42 new deaths were registered. In connection with the pandemic, 12,591 people have died in the Free State so far.
