Dresden (dpa / sn) – In the Corona crisis, new rules for Saxony will apply from Monday. Despite the extended lockdown, there are some easings: Primary schools and daycare centers are reopening with restricted regular operations. As in the spring, children remain in strictly separate groups with permanent caregivers. When it comes to daycare centers, parents therefore have to be prepared for shorter opening hours.
The school attendance requirement for primary schools is suspended. Parents can therefore decide for themselves whether they want to send their child to class or continue homeschooling. In addition, the “Click & Collect” order and pick-up service is now permitted in retail – goods ordered online can then be picked up on site within a certain time frame and without contact.
There are also easing of the night curfew and the 15-kilometer restriction: cities and districts can lift the restrictions if the number of new infections per 100,000 inhabitants per week is below 100 for five days in a row, both in Saxony and in the home region.
Shopping and sports outside the 15-kilometer radius are then allowed – according to Health Minister Petra Köpping (SPD), this also includes tobogganing with children, hiking or cross-country skiing. Tourist excursions are still taboo.
From today, in addition to the existing regulations, a mask is required in the car if the passengers do not come from a household. The state government wants to curb infections in car pools, for example among craftsmen. The cabinet passed a new corona protection ordinance on Friday, which is valid until March 7th.
