Health. Departmental health center: seven specialists recruited

Already with 60 salaried general practitioners, the Departmental Health Center has just signed employment contracts with seven specialist doctors, as part of phase 2 of the development of this pioneering structure. These practitioners will work in gynecology, psychiatry, pediatrics and tobacco science. Other interviews are underway among the 22 specialists who have applied to come and work at the CSD. The objective is to recruit around twenty specialists in order to “ensure homogeneous coverage of the territory”, according to President Accary.

The president of the Department André Accary, who presented the structure on Tuesday morning to his counterpart from Yonne Patrick Gendraud, also announced other CSD developments, in particular the transformation of the Pierreclos branch into a reinforced branch (two doctors and a medical secretary) and the opening in the spring in Paray-le-Monial of the SOS Health Center, which will provide continuous care on Sunday mornings from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m.

Small emergency units, intermediate between general practitioners and hospital emergencies, have recently been operational in the centers of Mâcon, Digoin and Montceau, as well as in the branches of Sagy and Montpont-en-Bresse. These units are also being planned in Le Creusot, where work is needed, as well as in Chalon and Autun, as part of an expansion of the centers which are starting to be cramped.
