Health | Day paved with Roses at Abderrahmen-Mami hospital

He fell into it when he was little, Emna didn’t. He made it his professional training course, Emna not. But both have made it a choice of life and career. And we must admit that a path paved with roses is a very smiling project for the future for a young couple.

Selim Amin was born from a tradition of horticulturists who, for three generations, from father to son, had made the rose their destiny. A destiny from which he could not and did not want to escape. As soon as his Bac was in his pocket, the young man set out across the seas to learn the science and mysteries of flower cultivation.

Emna, on the other hand, had followed a more pragmatic course, learning to spot currents and trends, to juggle programs, organizations and projections. They were made to complement each other and serve the queen of flowers.

Under the sign of the rose – theirs is entirely Tunisian, and takes pride in the pretentious coming from elsewhere -, the young couple settled in La Marsa, a few minutes as the crow flies from Sidi Bou Saïd, Selim’s native village. At the entrance of the city, under the pretty label of Prima Rosa, their sumptuous stalls of fresh flowers are displayed. Because they are young and fashionable, Selim and Emna use new means of communication: Interflora, a multinational online flower sales company, and Primarsa which offers their products in Tunisia and abroad. Because they have a sense of tradition, they entrust you with the recipes of grandmothers: three drops of bleach and a sugar make it possible to offer longevity and freshness to roses. Because they are romantic, they translate the language of roses for you: “a rose: love at first sight. Twelve roses: will you marry me? Twenty-four roses: I think of you. Thirty-six roses: I love you madly. One hundred and one roses: I love you ad infinitum ”.

And because the rose is generous, and because they are involved in their social environment, we recently saw them unload a full load of bouquets to offer to the medical staff of the Abderrahmen-Mami hospital. This pretty solidarity action against the Covid-19 had a delicate fragrance of support and encouragement for a medical staff that we do not always thank for their sacrifices. Selim and Emna knew how to do it in the pretty language of flowers.
