Sky News Arabia sources reported on Friday that the Indonesian hospital in Gaza was completely out of service as a result of a power supply interruption.
Thus, the hospital joins about 20 other health institutions in Gaza that are out of service, due to a lack of supplies and the siege of the Strip, which has been subjected to violent Israeli bombardment for more than a month.
On Friday, the Indonesian Ministry of Foreign Affairs said that explosions occurred near the Indonesian hospital during Thursday night, causing damage to parts of the hospital located in the northern end of the Gaza Strip.
“Indonesia once again condemns the brutal attacks on civilians and civilian objects, especially humanitarian facilities in Gaza,” it said in a statement.
On Friday, the Red Cross warned that the health care system in the war-torn Gaza Strip, which faces repeated attacks as its supplies dwindle, has reached the point of no return.
The International Committee of the Red Cross said in a statement: “Gaza’s healthcare system, which is overstretched, under-supplied and increasingly insecure, has reached the point of no return, putting the lives of thousands of wounded, sick and displaced people at risk.”
