If the curve of new cases has stagnated for four weeks in Moselle (around 30 new positive cases per 100,000 inhabitants), the Regional Health Agency (ARS) does not intend to lower its guard in the face of the threat. After Thionville, Metz, Forbach and Fameck, it is in Florange that it will organize on Friday 2 and Saturday 3 October, at La Passerelle, a large free campaign to screen for Covid-19. The tests will take place in the hall of the room on Friday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Saturday, 8:30 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Accessible to all (adults and children), without an appointment or prescription, the purpose of screening is to reach out to those who would hesitate to go to a doctor in the event of the appearance of symptoms, even mild ones. The City of Florange, the CPAM, the Prefecture of Moselle and the EspaceBio laboratory are associated with the event.

Nasal swab swab
Volunteers will be offered a nasal swab on site. The results of the test will be sent to them within 72 hours maximum if it is positive. Otherwise, they will receive a letter.
If the test is positive, those infected will be asked to stay at home, away from their loved ones. The latter will in turn be offered a test without a prescription.
In recent weeks, the evolution of the epidemic has indicated a clear increase in contamination among 20-29 year olds in the Grand-Est (117 new cases per 100,000 inhabitants), followed by 10-19 year olds (73 new cases for 100,000 inhabitants). In 36% of cases, infected people showed no symptoms, reports the ARS, while 28% of them had developed symptoms two to three days before the test was performed.
