Health care, a new blow: towards the prevention of tests and analyzes in agreement. Paid only – LinkOristano

Oristano

The Department reviews its budget and private institutions rise up

New problems are announced for the patients of Oristano and Sardinia, especially those who cannot pay for the health care they deserve and to which they already contribute to their taxes.

Ares, the regional health company in Sardinia, has decided in the last few days to cut the budget of the affiliated structures this year and therefore, how many Already planned or required to undergo an x-ray examination, blood test, rehabilitation therapy or specialist visit to one of these facilities, they find out that they only get it for a fee.

Only now have the private institutions discovered that they have already exceeded the spending ceiling given to them for 2024, hence the forced decision to ban arrange for inspections and agreed visits as soon as possible.

As of today, Coinu’s radiology practice in Nuoro, the first on the island, stops accepting transplants and, after seeing its budget for radiological tests only to cut as much as 50 percent, he has decided to work immediately only for a fee. .

“We reached this conclusion – explains the Coinu studio in a controversial statement published on the studio’s website – as the Regional Health Group ARES, suddenly and unexpectedly, announced that a ceiling the cost of this studio, for the coming year has largely exceeded. and therefore it is no longer possible to accept the promises.”

“The budget that was stolen from us was assigned to another structure in another area – continues the statement -. The result in our land, after years of dismantling public healthcare, is that the private sector is now on fire, especially CT imaging diagnostics and MRI and outpatient facilities, with disastrous consequences for our waiting patients. , to favor structures in other areas.”

But the decision of the Coinu studio is to be followed soon by the other connected studios and laboratories on the island, while the opening of a tough dispute between the trade union and the Department is approaching.

“We do not agree with the unexplained decision of Ares – explains Paolo Deriu, president of Confapi Sanità della Sardegna, the union to which most of the connected structures on the island belong -. Our companies are essential for the health care service, in fact they ensure 65 percent of the total value of the special services provided by the Department in Sardinia, against a cost of just 2 percent of Sardinia’s health care expenditure”.

Hence the union’s intention to oppose Ares’ provision. A provision that not only contradicts the promises to reduce waiting lists announced several times by the regional health advisor Armando Bartolazzi, but will have the effect of extending them and effectively preventing the possibility for a large number of Sardinian patients to access treatment for free or on payment of the copay only.

The real problem will be at the heart of the meeting scheduled for tomorrow of the joint commission that was established a few months ago between trade unions and regional representatives.

At that time, the decision of the health department to redefine the “tariff designation” known as the agreement with private structures will also be considered. According to the rates set at national level, but not binding for the island, it is expected to reduce the amounts that were already set 26 years ago for each individual service. For example: the reimbursement of aain off on in life. way, chest disease, the disease will go from the current 19 euros to 15 euros, while a CT scan, now valued at 190 euros, would be paid 70 euros.

“These are figures that do not correspond to the real production costs that we incurred to ensure these services – says Paolo Deriu, president of Confapi Sanità Sardegna – And to evaluate it together we have asked that to divide the joint commission into a sub-commission with the support of accountants and experts able to verify the appropriateness of the proposed tariffs. A request which, however, did not receive approval from the Department”.
