But the decision of the Coinu studio is to be followed soon by the other connected studios and laboratories on the island, while the opening of a tough dispute between the trade union and the Department is approaching.
“We do not agree with the unexplained decision of Ares – explains Paolo Deriu, president of Confapi Sanità della Sardegna, the union to which most of the connected structures on the island belong -. Hence the union’s intention to oppose Ares’ provision. A provision that not only contradicts the promises to reduce waiting lists announced several times by the regional health advisor Armando Bartolazzi, but will have the effect of extending them and effectively preventing the possibility for a large number of Sardinian patients to access treatment for free or on payment of the copay only.
The real problem will be at the heart of the meeting scheduled for tomorrow of the joint commission that was established a few months ago between trade unions and regional representatives.
At that time, the decision of the health department to redefine the “tariff designation” known as the agreement with private structures will also be considered.
